Glashütte Original
Glashütte Original was created in 1994 when Heinz W. Pfeifer bought the privatised East German state combine VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe (GUB) and renamed it. Watchmaking in Glashütte dates to 1845. Swatch Group bought the company in 2000.
